Constitutional Law and Human Rights
Ethos represents clients with claims against government and government agencies on constitutional grounds, whether under Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms or as a matter of the division of powers between the federal and provincial governments. Monique has argued constitutional matters before the British Columbia Supreme Court,the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Katrina has argued constitutional cases at all levels of court in British Columbia and is counsel for the plaintiffs in Downtown Eastside Sex Workers United Against Violence Society & Sheryl Kiselbach v. AG Canada, which will be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada in early 2012.
